Fencing classes for beginners
Our beginner's courses are addressed to the absolute beginner. Equipment is provided.
Is fencing dangerous?
Absolutely not. As a matter of fact fencing has one of the best safety records of all sports.
Do I have to be competitive?
No, not all fencers compete. Most fencers do fence for pure recreation and fitness or for social reason.
Do I have to be super fit to start fencing?
There is no premium on strength in fencing; most of the application is based on coordination of both physical and mental. The two are inseparable. This is why fencing is also known as Physical Chess.
What, after the beginner course?
As new to the sport, you can take up a six months membership and come practice anytime the club is open, this membership include a weekly FREE Intermediate Class as well as a weekly FREE Foot-work Class.
Is fencing expensive?
It is cheaper than most sports; Memberships costs are low and equiment is cheap to buy. Ask for a quote from our in-house suppliers.
Slowly you will want to acquire your own equipment and treat your new passion as a "part of my life" interest and focus on improving your technique just as you would if you played golf ,dancing or any other challenging interest.
